Purpose of the Job
Role Summary:
As our new Product Manager (m/w/d), you are responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of assigned vehicle lines, ensuring competitive market positioning, strong commercial performance, and alignment with customer needs. Reporting directly to our Head of Carlines, you will be working closely with European markets, Global HQ, and manufacturing partners. You drive product, pricing, and specification strategies across the entire vehicle lifecycle.
We want you to:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of assigned vehicle lines, from launch preparation through lifecycle enhancements to run-out strategies
- Develop and execute lifecycle initiatives including model year updates, facelifts, special editions, and product enhancements
- Define and implement pricing strategies that balance market competitiveness, profitability, and brand positioning
- Develop and steer pan-European trim, specification, and option strategies in collaboration with markets and manufacturing partners
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer preferences to identify risks, opportunities, and strategic actions
- Lead product enhancement planning processes covering powertrains, features, technology, and design updates
- Define portfolio positioning and the strategic role of each model within the European product portfolio
- Coordinate pan-European launch activities across Product, Marketing, Sales, PR, and market organizations
- Ensure consistency between product positioning, pricing strategy, brand communication, and launch execution
- Collaborate closely with European subsidiaries, distributors, Global HQ, and factories to achieve sales and profitability targets
- Provide management with strategic recommendations based on market intelligence, performance analysis, and competitive benchmarking
About you:
- University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- 7–10 years of experience within the automotive industry, ideally in Product Planning, Pricing, Product Management, or Strategic Planning
- Deep understanding of the European automotive market and industry dynamics
- Strong expertise in automotive pricing, revenue management, and portfolio strategy
- Experience managing vehicle lifecycles, product launches, and specification planning
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate market data into actionable business recommendations
- Experience working with automotive market intelligence and benchmarking tools such as JATO
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating international and cross-functional teams
- Resilient, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Strong communication skills combined with a creative and commercially minded approach
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage
