Warranty Claims Specialist

Role Summary:

The Warranty Claims Specialist will support the Warranty Operations Manager in delivering Hyundai and Genesis warranty objectives in line with HME and GME KPIs and service standards. This role provides guidance to the warranty team, ensures timely processing of claims and enquiries, assists in audits and training, and supports internal departments and authorised repairers to maintain high levels of service, compliance, and operational efficiency.

We want you to:

  • Support the Warranty Operations Manager to achieve the required KPI’s as set by HME and GME in accordance with the MOU
  • Provide second line cover for the warranty team when Warranty Operations Manager is out of the business
  • Provide support and guidance to Warranty Assessors
  • Ensure that all claims in manual review and prior work authority (PWA) requests are processed in line with the service level agreement as set with the retailer network
  • Ensure all emails, GWMS hotline enquiries and phone calls are answered in line with the service level as with the retailer network
  • Highlight any retailer issues or development needs as identified through warranty claims, PWA’s and remote audit results to Warranty Operations Manager
  • Provide support to HMUK and GMUK internal departments to resolve warranty queries, including the Technical Services and Customer Services teams
  • Review any outstanding factory return claims and unpaid dealer claims with support of Warranty Operations Manager
  • Conduct AR site visits to provide additional Warranty training and support as required
  • Be involved in remote audits using the internal audit system and workshop automation platforms when possible
  • Ensure any chargebacks following a remote audit are correctly administered
  • Maintain bulletins and communications

  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and retailer colleagues
  • Numerate and articulate
  • Confident with Microsoft (Xcel, Power point, Word)
  • Confident with the use of digital technology
  • Disciplined, organised and able to manage, specialist projects within agreed budgets 
  • Ability to ensure projects are completed and implemented within agreed timescales
  • Strong customer service orientation
