We are now looking to recruit a forward thinking, driven individual to lead the Supply Team to ensure accurate supply data communication to the dealer network.  Responsibility for the day to day supply management of new vehicles to our dealer network and you will coordinate with key stakeholders (Hyundai Finance, SMMT, Rav, DVLA, system) activities to ensure timely execution of day to day operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage & control all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Supply Team function and its cost centre within agreed budgets.
  • Manage the incoming workload to the department by the effective utilisation of staff resources available to ensure maximum operational efficiencies.  
  • Plan and organise tasks in the Supply Team, ensuring timely supply of new vehicles to all distribution channels.
  • Ensure accurate supply data is provided to the business and dealer network.
  • Continuously monitor skill levels and knowledge within the team ensuring ongoing coaching and performance management to team individuals to optimise performance. 
  • Handle escalated calls and dealer issues, assisting team with master problem solving and decision making to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Set-up and maintain vehicle allocation rules and exclusions in SAP to meet business requirements (including sold order restrictions; allocation limits; and credit check exclusions).
  • Liaise with Import Centre and Distribution Partner - working collaboratively to prioritise sold orders and resolve operational issues.
  • Liaise with Hyundai Finance to manage dealer credit / risk issues and terminations, ensuring that prompt action is taken to minimise HMUK loss.
  • Co-ordinate vehicle allocations and preparation with Supply Team & Import Centre, to ensure objectives are achieved in line with Sales Campaigns, Product Launches, HMUK Events and Wholesale Targets.
  • Be the key point of contact with SMMT and DVLA, attending regular meetings to keep up to date with DVLA policies and systems enhancements.  
  • Provide information on all registration and RaV system issues, communicating important updates to the business and dealer network (including implementing Contingency Procedures in the event of RaV system failure).  Produce user guides on all registration procedures and policy changes.  
  • Co-ordinate new dealer set-up in RaV with DVLA, ensuring new staff are trained on RaV before providing logins to access the registration system.  Maintain the RaV Operator Database and organise the annual RaV audits with the chosen supplier and communicate to the dealer network. 
  • Be the Super User for all Supply and Registration systems, including SAP; Hyway and RaV (or subsequent systems). 
  • Work with the Systems Team on the development and implementation of Supply & Registration systems or functionality enhancements.  
  • Produce reports and data in timely manner, including Supply Team KPIs; ECM Delivery Forecast; Pipeline Dealer Wholesales Reports.

  • Team Leader experience with strong people management skills.
  • Confident communicator, with the ability to establish credibility and influence at all levels.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a wide scope of activities
  • Solution driven mind-set - with ability to demonstrate effective delegation skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation able to achieve deadlines.
  • Articulate /numerate with an exceptional attention to detail.
  • Good analytical skills and commercially aware.
  • Capable of working under pressure and manage changing priorities
  • Automotive experience desirable but not essential
