Parts Pricing Analyst (Automotive)

Leatherhead, Surrey

Hybrid working (3 days office based, 2 days working from home), flexitime, lunch allowance, competitive salary and excellent benefits!


This role will suit a proactive, driven individual who enjoys working in a forward thinking company and a fast paced environment.  In this role, you will provide in depth analysis and reporting of the HMUK Parts Operation function including overall management of the parts price book.  You will ensure active price setting and management at sell-out and retail pricing to maximise margin, turnover, competitiveness (across OEM & Aftermarket) and dealer profitability. 

The successful candidate will be a key liaison between HMUK and Hyundai Mobis (Hyundai Parts Distribution Centre) assisting with parts logistics including suggested remedial actions to provide Dealer network support and escalations.  You will provide local aftersales programme analysis and life-cycle management following implementation and network launch. 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintenance of price files including parts segmentation and the implementation of pricing methodology in line with HMUK guidelines and targets.
  • Achievement of company targets of overall parts turnover and profit annually (Measured by P+L statements).
  • Balancing warranty parts turnover and profit against HMUK warranty costs.
  • Lifecycle management, including obsolescence, of parts based on vehicle age and product range.
  • Analysis of sales trends, market conditions, competitive pricing (in line with anti-competitive policy) and identification of opportunities.
  • Production of both routine and ad-hoc reports relating to the function.
  • Daily communication with Hyundai Mobis to highlight issues and recommend resolutions.
  • Regular analysis of local aftersales programmes and providing recommendations to the programme manager to implement improvements.
  • Achievement of company targets of overall parts turnover and profit annually (Measured by P+L statements).
     

About you:

 

  • Graduate calibre with a numerical, marketing or business specialisation or relevant industry experience.
  • Highly numerate, with advanced PC and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills; all levels from inception to completion.
  • Experience in a pricing or market analysis role in automotive or industrial products.
  • Commercially aware, with budget management and accountability understanding.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, an able communicate to all levels of management, dealers, customers and partners.
  • Motivated, well organised, accurate and a good team player.
  • Proactive.
  • Takes ownership and leads ideas and their development.
  • Works to deadlines under pressure.
