Product Manager Payment Systems (m/f/d)

Job Purpose

As our new Product Manager for Payment Systems (m/w/d), you will craft a strategic product vision for the payment system, aligning it with business objectives and user needs. Your role involves gathering requirements, prioritizing features, and maintaining a dynamic product roadmap while engaging with stakeholders to communicate progress and address concerns. 
With a focus on industry trends and regulatory compliance, you'll ensure the system's security and adherence to standards. Additionally, you'll lead release processes, manage incidents, and collaborate across teams to enhance the system's performance and user experience.

We want you to:

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for the payment system, aligning it with the overall business objectives and customer needs. Understand market trends, competition, and user feedback to inform product strategy.
  • Gather requirements and define product features and enhancements. Prioritize these requirements based on business value, customer impact, and feasibility.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the timeline and prioritization of features and releases. 
  • Continuously refine and adjust the roadmap based on business priorities, market changes, and customer feedback.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and executive management, to gather feedback, address concerns, and communicate product updates and progress. Act as the primary point of contact for product-related queries and discussions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements related to payments, security, and data privacy. Ensure that the payment system adheres to these standards and complies with relevant regulations
  • Take ownership of the release process and manage involved teams and related tasks (release notes, documentation, alignments)
  • Steer and resolve incoming incidents. Manage their criticality by planning them into hotfixes and communicate timelines 
  • You bring interdisciplinary teams together to analyze the root cause of incidents and to solve them fast
  • Support our team to set up a monitoring and reporting system
     

About you:

 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in payment industry and worked in an agile environment
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in management, technical or similar background
  • Proven experience managing new projects related to payment services and platforms 
  • Ability to analyze and interpret user feedback and translate it into actionable improvements.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify user pain points and propose design solutions.
