Job Purpose

As a Legal Counsel you will provide legal advice and support to the company on a wide range of legal matters. You will collaborate with various departments within the organization as needed.

We want you to:

• Provide pro-active, business minded and strategic legal advice to Hyundai’s divisions on a variety of exciting commercial and operational topics.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts with external suppliers and continuously enhance Hyundai’s contract management.
• Provide full support on major projects of Hyundai starting from its creation until completion.
• Resolve out-of-court and litigation disputes of Hyundai’s organization in Europe.
• Lead M&A projects independently in all stages of the transaction.
• Manage legal risks for the Hyundai organization in cooperation with other legal teams of the Hyundai Group.
• Instruct and manage Hyundai’s external counsels in line with internal budget and quality requirements.

You would also need to have:

• At least 5 years of experience as a practicing lawyer in a business corporation and/or an international law firm
• Be a fully qualified lawyer (university degree and admission to bar in Germany preferred)
• Strong experience with Mergers and Acquisitions, corporate law and contract review
• International experience (EU) is considered advantageous
• Experience in the automotive industry and in-house legal operations is considered advantageous
