ESG Manager


As an ESG Manager you will be responsible for development, implementation and coordination of our sustainability strategy in accordance with Hyundai Motor Company global ESG approach and key priorities; reporting in compliance with industry standards, guidelines and frameworks ensuring alignment with trends, business strategy and directions. You will also identify, recommend and coordinate ESG initiatives to increase engagement, awareness and commitment to sustainability. 

We want you to:


•    To be a ‘control tower’ within Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives in HME to ensure a coordinated approach in accordance with Hyundai Motor Company global ESG key priorities 
•    Analyze/assess ESG status/projects in HME and propose resources or structure to prepare mid-term ESG plans by June 2022
•    Lead the process by which each subsidiary analyses/assesses their ESG status and proposes resources or structure to prepare their mid-term ESG plans by end of 2022
•    Establish Regional ESG priorities 
•    Collaborate closely with manufacturing plants for “2022 carbon neutrality plan” and act as ‘control tower’ for actions required, roadmap to completion & reporting process
•    Be the European lead-contact for Hyundai Motor Company for coordination of activities and reporting with regards to participation in RE100
•    Establish internal ESG reporting process for Hyundai in Europe and work on format and content of monthly report to ESG Committee

You’ll also need to have


•    Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent in an ESG-related field such as sustainability, environmental science, social sciences, etc.
•    Minimum 8 years of experience in sustainability related role (either in corporate or non-governmental organization)
•    ESG Management experience in industrial sector
•    Practical experience in sustainability reporting
•    Understanding of ESG strategic approaches and trends and issues and how they can be transferred into business to create measurable value 
•    Influencing, presentation and inspiring skills 
•    Attention to details
•    Very good command of English (knowledge of additional European language is a plus)
