Data Governance Expert (m/f/d)
As our Data Governance Expert, you’ll drive the analytical work to determine business requirements and specify effective business/data processes, work on the improvements of systems, new business management, practices, procedures, and drive the organizational change.
We want you to:
• Handle the day-to-day collaboration and cooperation with internal and external partners ensuring a positive experience with the brand and control the quality of delivery
- Manage and support the local data stewards to guide, exchange and align on the effective business & data processes
- Bring data producers and consumers closer together by fostering communication and collaboration with the aid of internal tools for data lineage and data cataloguing
- Manage and collaborate with the sales subsidiaries on the assessment of their data and lead the standardization of data management processes in order to improve the data quality.
- Promote and ensure high data quality and the stability of the data supply so as to unleash the full potential of the data from online and offline business sources
• Cooperate and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and partners for effective planning and mutual understanding
- Collaborate with the sales subsidiaries to conduct ‘as-is’ assessments and lead the creation of ‘to-be’ designs as well as the production of a data mapping
- Collaborate with the Data Architect to ensure consistent data delivery from internal tools to support the data innovation strategy
- Collaborate with the internal Compliance team to ensure ongoing GDPR compliance
• Perform Data work and projects in the respect of the defined Data standards
- Develop, roll-out and maintain state-of-the-art data governance structures to strengthen the backbone of our data-driven business at Hyundai Motor Europe
- Consult, and support internal business units in data governance related topics to facilitate and promote data-driven thinking within the organization
- Implement the common data lineage tool
- Design databases and manage data processing, data flows and metadata, depending on business needs
• Communicate and implement process, policies and systems in areas of responsibility
- Carry out project management duties, document and clarify business requirements with relevant stakeholders, and actively guide business and data process improvements
- Proactively document, act as the guardian and communicate to other stakeholders decisions, process flow and data policies

Requirements:
• University Degree (Bachelor/MBA etc.) in Computer Science, IT Management, Business Administration or similar
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related position or specialization
• Analytical thinking and the ability to understand complex requirements: Analytics, Procedures, Data Quality, Data Management and Data Governance
• Proficiency in following areas is considered an advantage: Atlassian environments (Confluence and JIRA) and common data lineage tools
• Strong consultancy skills and business acumen
• Collaborative mindset - Strong teamwork, communication with stakeholders in various organizations
• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Proficiency in MS Office is required
• Proficiency in English (both written and oral) is required
