Compliance Management Counsel (m/w/d)

Role Summary:

This role supports the Compliance Department in shaping, implementing and managing the Compliance System in Hyundai Motor Europe (HME) and the European Subsidiaries. This role requires strategic collaboration with internal and external partners and involves implementing compliance processes to support Hyundai’s commitment to regulatory excellence across Europe.

We want you to:

  • Handle the day-to-day collaboration and cooperation with external partners ensuring a positive experience with the brand and control the quality of delivery 
  • Cooperate and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and partners for effective planning and mutual understanding 
  • Review company practices, policies and process in areas of responsibility and recommend adjustment to ensure compliance with laws and regulations 
  • Communicate and implement process, policies and systems in areas of responsibility and monitor their respect 
  • Prepare and deliver training to employees of HME, and other European Subsidiaries 
  • Evaluate business activities in connection to compliance risks, in accordance to established control procedures 
  • Propose and support the implementation of new control procedures as needed based on identified risks
  • Act as contact point for and coordinates HME subsidiaries, GME and GME subsidiaries regarding the implementation of the CMS across the different entities on the one hand by supporting launch of policies, implementation of procedures and clarifying questions, and on the other hand, by monitoring the implementation of compliance minimum standards at the different entities
  • Manage the whistleblowing platform and carry out compliance investigations if appointed as investigator 

About you:

  • BSc/BA in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. Professional certification (e.g. Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)) is a plus
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the field of compliance in-house or in a law firm/consultancy. Experience in supply chain compliance, anti-bribery and corruption and/or risk management is highly valued.
  • English, German and/or other European language(s) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills, being able to understand complex information, identify issues and find adequate solutions in a timely, efficient manner
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to present complex information in an easy and understandable manner
  • Reliable, collaborative and able to build relationships with other people throughout the organization 
  • Not being afraid of thinking outside the box and coming with creative and effective proposals to improve the status quo
  • High ethical standards and an interest in fostering an ethical corporate culture
  • Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
