Hyundai Motor UK (HMUK) continues on its fleet journey and strategy to grow a sustainable fleet customer base in order to establish a sustainable 4% fleet market share.  As part of this growth plan, we are looking for new business sales professionals in order to capitalize on the opportunity for Hyundai’s Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) product range.  Working closely with the National Corporate Sales Manager (NCSM), you will quickly establish large national new business opportunities and work on actions to successfully position Hyundai on to new customer car policies and gain incremental fleet sales for HMUK.  In addition to this you will work with newly established customers for the first 12 months in order to establish satisfactory sales yield.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop new end user and leasing company account manager relationships for Hyundai irrespective of UK location
  • To generate national new business within the fleet sector encompassing fleets predominantly running 200 to 500 units or where a potential for an immediate batch volume opportunity of 20 cars exists.
  • To deliver sales volumes in line with personal and business objectives using existing business contacts, leads supplied by HMUK via ROI and leads from contract hire companies
  • Manage and achieve budgets and forecasts in line with Business Plan on a monthly & annual basis
  • Work closely with the NCSM to develop a prospect hit list with the agreed strategies and next actions
  • Work closely with ROI team on generating suitable leads and appointments with the right caliber of prospect in terms of their fleet requirements by prioritising raw data/prospects in CRM
  • To manage and maximise new accounts for the first year by monitoring product positioning with customer car policies before handing over to the relevant Key Account Manager (KAM) or ROI Virtual Account Manager (VAM)
  • Maintain and update prospect/customer account records on HMUK/ROI CRM system
  • To qualify, determine and implement the appropriate commercial actions in terms of deal opportunities by presenting detailed bespoke proposals into the NCSM
  • Identify tender opportunities and complete and return HME tenders and RFQs and UK tenders working with the NCSM and Fleet Operations Manager.
  • Feedback market knowledge and intelligence on industry legislation and competitor product that will help HMUK to be commercially adept in the fleet sector
  • Strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership Calculations
  • Feedback and propose sales toolbox requirements in order to deliver Hyundai’s key fleet messages

Person Specification:

  • Proven networker and hunter mentality with ability to forge strong sustainable relationships
  • Strong tenacity and agile – results driven
  • Ability to personally develop and manage new business and associated processes to support its successful introduction and on-going management
  • A commercial knowledge of fleet purchasing practices and deal requirements of the sector is essential
  • A self-starter able to work on their own initiative and to develop and share new ideas
  • Strong and challenging individual with the ability to open doors and build new relationships in order to deliver sales objectives.
  • Ability to deal confidently and professionally at all levels with dealer management and with business customers and funders.
  • Fully conversant with all vehicle funding methods, features/benefits, Inland Revenue and BIK principles.
  • Well connected in the fleet industry, especially with major fleet companies and the key influencers
  • Major accounts management experience
  • Able to produce and deliver professional presentations to Board level
  • Ability to travel nationwide dependent on the business opportunity
