Job Description

Role Summary:

 

Reporting to the President of Hyundai Motor Italy (HMCI), the Sales Director will be responsible for delivering the annual sales volume, profitability and market share. You will provide exceptional leadership to the Sales team and as part of the Management Committee contribute directly to the overall success of HMCI.

We want you to:

  • Full ownership of HMCI Sales to deliver profitability, market share, volume and overall market position across Italy.
  • Provide exceptional leadership to an experienced sales team including Regional and District Sales Managers, Sales Operations, Fleet & Remarketing, Sales Planning and Logistics
  • Promote sales growth by analyzing and monitoring the market, defining and implementing strategies and short-medium term commercial plans
  • Ensure the assignment of commercial objectives (quantitative and qualitative) to Partners, evaluating their performance, monitoring the trend through the Sales Force (RSM/DSM) and identifying corrective measures if necessary.
  • Forecasting and discovering new opportunities and monitoring mid-to-long term risks to achieve and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Provide strong, visible, hands-on management, and personally monitor key business activities, responding to opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with global and regional counterparts and other cross-functional stakeholders to secure shared planning and mutual understanding.
  • Support counterparts with dealer network management, maintaining profitable commercial relations and guaranteeing compliance with defined standards to ensure achievement of margin.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and communication of business status, results and plans to support broader HMCI objectives, including monthly and annual sales volume plans for new vehicles.
  • Foster a culture of high-performance, service excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the sales function.
  • Lead with integrity and foster the development of employees to facilitate the organization's sustainable growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

About you:

  • Degree qualified with a minimum of 15 years’ progressive experience in automotive OEM sales.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing sales strategies to deliver profitability, market share and volume in accordance with organizational objectives to support the sales force.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build consensus whilst maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
  • Foster a culture of high-performance, service excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence global, regional and market stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build productive relationships with people at all levels.
  • Exceptional communication skills in Italian and English.
