Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to undertake servicing and repair work to internal and external customer vehicles as efficiently as possible. You will investigate customer concerns using Hyundai diagnostic equipment and techniques. The successful candidate will be required to work on priority jobs requiring Master Technician level skills on both Hyundai and Genesis cars based at the Tilbury Import Centre

Key Responsibilities

 

  • To ensure that all work is completed in accordance with Hyundai requirements including preparing technical reports
  • To ensure that all job cards are read and understood before commencing work
  • To report any additional work or parts required to the Workshop Controller for customer authorisation before starting that work
  • To ensure that customers cars are protected from damage whilst in the workshop environment 
  • To complete necessary documentation in respect of any warranty work completed and be responsible for the labelling and safekeeping of all warranty displacement parts 
  • To ensure that displaced parts for disposal are made unusable
  • To ensure that special tools and equipment are kept in good order and that any problems are immediately notified
  • To maintain the work bay and surrounding areas in a clean and tidy fashion
  • To always work in a manner ensuring the HMUK safety policy and procedures are adhered to
  • To ensure that technical reports are correctly prepared as measured by the Hyundai Warranty and Operating Standards Audits 
  • To ensure that all work is performed to the highest standard as measured by the Hyundai Customer Satisfaction Reports
  • To work as efficiently as possible as measured by the Hyundai Monthly Dealer Composite Reports
     

Person Specification

 

  • Preference given to technicians trained to Master technician or equivalent level.
  • IMI level 4
  • Previous Franchised Dealer technical experience
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work in a clean and organised manner
  • Willingness to work in a team
