The purpose of this role is to be an integral part of the team that builds a more profitable, customer focused, future enabled Retailer network by providing tangible contributions, support & development with the implementation of HMUK representation strategy. You will assist with day-to-day smooth running & administrative operations of the Network Development team. You will also implement all strategies and plans in line with legal and brand governance, compliance, and best practice standards. 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • As a part of a continuous improvement approach help to deliver a robust, evidence based, tangible contribution to the development of the HMUK representation strategy.
  • Provide support to, and fulfilment of, all agreed requests (eg reports; presentations; workflows; measurements etc) in relation to any aspect of HMUK retailer representation activities; outputs etc from HMUK colleagues, HMC, HME and group affiliates. 
  • In line with the strategy, both as directed and independently, aid with the appointment, transfer; take-over and termination of retailers across all HMUK controlled markets.
  • Management & implementation of FBB (Fewer, Bigger, Better) action planning, including following though workflow process from inception to completion.
  • Completion of HME (Hyundai Motor Europe) reporting for Network Development on regular basis & ad hoc as required.
  • Engage, manage, and grow relationships with all key stakeholders existing and prospective retailers, HMUK teams and affiliates and partner. 
  • Feedback (observing confidentiality and legal requirements) on relevant market and industry intelligence 
  • Provide input into future retailing concepts, requirements, and trends as required.
  • Meet personal, team and departmental objectives, plans and targets as agreed.
  • Identify and support efficiency improvements within and between HMUK and our retailers.
  • Ensure an understanding and use of all relevant HMUK direct and partner provided systems (e.g., Urban Science; MediaZest; ESA Retail etc.) 
     

 

Person Specification

 

  • Experience within an automotive Retailer / OEM, or retail project management role
  • Advanced levels of understanding and use of software applications in particular PowerPoint and Excel – for presentation / report creation & completion
  • A practical and comprehensive level of financial and commercial awareness with strong analytical skills 
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise and adapt, sometimes at short notice
  • Excellent relationship building skills and an ability to manage challenging situations
  • Effectively influence, engage, and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders within automotive retailers, HMUK internal teams, Hyundai affiliates (e.g., Hyundai Capital, HME) and partner providers (eg Urban Science, Tara Signs, Media Zest), in a variety of business settings
  • Enjoy a dynamic work environment and embrace/influence innovative ideas and change
  • Ability to positively represent HMUK with existing and prospective retailers, partner providers and wider audiences as required – Strong networking skills 
  • Ability to manage your own time/diary aligned with business priorities
  • Ability to travel to locations across the UK as required
  • A confident, articulate, diligent individual who is a good influencer, can build and maintain strong relationships and can work on their own initiative as well as be an integral member of a team
