Job Purpose
We are recruiting a dynamic Automotive Brand Experience Manager with fluency in Korean to join our team.
Hyundai is a brand revolutionising the automotive industry with its innovative vehicle range. We’re looking for a passionate individual to help shape the exciting new chapter for Hyundai and drive mass conversion to electric vehicles.
Marketing at Hyundai starts with our progressive products and ends with inspired and delighted customers. As the Brand Experience Manager, you’ll manage the events and partnerships that bring the brand to life to excite customers for Hyundai’s range of vehicles. As an innate communicator with fastidious attention to detail and quality, you’ll work to ensure that all customer facing activations deliver an exceptional and memorable experience to drive brand appeal and consideration.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing high-profile automotive events, experiences and VIP events. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, a deep understanding of the automotive industry, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Korean.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Hyundai UK’s events and experiences. Lead the planning, development, execution and reporting of Hyundai events in the UK, managing agency partners to support. The events should bring to life the progressive nature of the Hyundai brand through engaging, inviting, and professional brand experiences. Events vary from major activations at automotive shows such as Goodwood Festival of Speed, Fully Charged and Motability show, to wider activations including experiential driving experiences at race circuits.
- Manage local partnerships and sponsorships. Proactively manage Hyundai’s partnerships with organisations such as Tate, MSV and Healthy Seas. Working to align activity, messaging and Hyundai Brand Identity in order to achieve maximum reach and consumer engagement across all channels.
- Lead internal-facing events and VIP visits. With the broader internal teams, develop events for internal staff and Retailers including organising the annual Retailer Conference. Meticulously plan and coordinate senior level visits to the UK, executing every detail to ensure a seamless experience. You will liaise with embassies, security teams, and interpreters to facilitate smooth communication and adherence to protocol. Additionally, you will oversee venue selection, catering, and personalised itineraries, ensuring a balance of formal meetings, networking events, and cultural experiences
- Manage the financial and legal approval processes. Responsible for ensuring budget management for projects with compliance checks where necessary. This will require managing multiple projects in parallel and to deadline.
- Manage the reporting requirements. Understand the HMUK brand and commercial objectives and track the ROI performance of activities against these requirements. Work with the Head of Brand Communications to evaluate successes and arrive at key recommendations for future.
- Proactively investigate new partner and sponsorship ideas for the business. Curiously seek out relationships for the experiential launches of all new models, with a particular focus on electrified powertrains. Monitor competitive events to ensure Hyundai is embracing the latest industry trends and opportunities.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in automotive event management, ideally within a corporate or agency setting.
- Fluency in Korean and English (spoken and written).
- Strong understanding of the automotive industry, including trends and key players.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and exemplary organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise
- Ambitious, with a ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to find innovative solutions to challenges
- Agency management experience
- Innate people connector with Customer Service / Business Development experience
