Job Purpose

 

As an Aftersales Planning Specialist, you will need to be a dynamic and enthusiastic individual responsible for planning, developing and delivering insight into business market strategies. You must also manage and build relationships with other departments and retailer networks. 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and recommend current year and strategic parts and service trading plans, including volume, margin and price structures. 
  • Assist Parts Pricing Manager with Aftersales pricing and discount strategy to ensure market competitiveness and to maximise sales and profit opportunity.
  • Provide and manage full reporting, analysis and market information systems to enable accurate business planning, performance measurement and decision-making for short (12 months), medium (1-5 years) and long term (5 years +)
  • Develop and manage market potential and volume-planning model.
  • Manage relationships with information suppliers, including, but not limited to; Qlikview, Marque Group, GiPA.
  • Develop and manage data warehousing system Qlikview to provide sophisticated reporting and analysis of Aftersales performance and opportunity.
  • Develop and manage a market intelligence programme to continuously monitor market and industry activity, information and trends.
  • Provide Executive summaries (often in PowerPoint) for monthly Executive Board meeting and on an ad hoc basis, often at short notice.
  • Produce and manage annual target and bonus programmes for the retailer network to achieve plan.
  • Develop, analyse and publish performance reports to retailers and field staff to monitor and drive business performance.
  • Assist Fleet Aftersales Manager to develop and control cost-of-ownership database to ensure ownership costs are correctly represented and managed.
  • Assist Parts Pricing Manager to manage a parts pricing and discount strategy to achieve plan, margin and market competitiveness.
  • Manage the provision of parts and service pricing information to retailers and staff.

Person Specification

 

  • Graduate caliber with a numerical, marketing or business specialisation.
  • Highly numerate, with advanced PC (Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint) and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills; all levels from inception to completion.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a pricing or market analysis role in automotive or industrial products preferable.
  • Commercially aware, with budget management and understanding of accounting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, an able communicator and confident presenter to all levels of management, retailers, customers and partners.
  • Motivated, well organised, accurate and a good team player.
  • Proactive, takes ownership and leads ideas and their development.
  • Works to tight deadlines under pressure.
