Head of Section, Retail & Transformation


A very exciting opportunity has opened for a forward thinking, driven individual to join us as our Head of Section, Retail & Transformation.  You will be responsible for the various projects and programmes assigned to HMUK’s Future Retailing function, which is set up to provide profitable and supportive business solutions to HMUK and Dealer partners, both short and long term, as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:


Help HMUK achieve its Vision 2025 Goal of:

  • 105k (vehicle sales) by 2025 → ‘105 in 25’
  • 4% market share
  • 4% HMUK operating income
  • 30% EV sale weight


Contribute to a wide range of initiatives detailed in the HMUK business planning (existing → Vision 2025).  These currently include:

  • Hydrogen Fuel Cell strategy
  • Digital sales (eg Lead & Renewal management; Click to Buy etc.)
  • Subscription services (Vehicle and Aftersales)
  • Dealer of tomorrow including Agency representation model
  • Customer test drive programme (Tomorrows Journey)
  • Hyundai Business User clubs
  • Connected Car; Connected Customer (eg Bluelink)


Become the Subject Matter expert within identified key areas so that your input into them becomes the point of reference


Compile clear, robust, easy to understand presentations and advice across this range of topics at all levels (eg Dealer; HMUK; HME etc.)


Create or input to ‘Best in Class’ processes across the department and wider business


Manage the appropriate financial Cost Centres; budget planning and where required external partner providers  to ensure plans are met and best value is obtained


Project manage all aspects of the appropriate programmes to:

  • Ensure prompt and easy access to current status and spend
  • Meet timeline commitments and £ budget plans
  • Provide reporting at various levels
  • Ensure proper governance and compliance
  • Obtain cross business approval, alignment and buy in
