Financial Controller

We want you to:

The job mission of this role as Financial Controller at Hyundai Motor Sweden is to Manage & ensure that the financial records of the company and the finance systems are maintained to a high standard. Identify associated risks within the business and proactively suggest / implement controls as necessary. To ensure internal and regulatory reporting is correct and timely. Perform to excellent standards and meet department objectives.
 

  • Manage and ensure that financial reporting is accurate and timely submitted.
  • Ensure accounting records are IFRS compliant for group reporting and monthly submissions are accurately produced and submitted in line with group reporting deadlines.
  • Ensure underlying financial records are kept to the highest standard and appropriate financial controls are implemented and adhered to.
  • Manage cash flow forecasts, weekly and monthly and monitor liquidity to ensure optimal cash management.
  • Ensure tax return submissions including corporation tax, VAT and PAYE returns.
  • Manage and ensure operations accounting processes are effective, accurate and well controlled including costing, pricing, parts, and warranty accounting.
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed monthly and controls are in place to minimize any risk and exposure.
  • Coordinate the external audit process and providing auditors with information and explanations.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or economics.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS Standards.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish laws and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of finance and accounting best practices.
  • Experience in preparing and maintaining finance and tax documents.
  • Experienced on large ERP systems. SAP knowledge desirable.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience from the automotive industry is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet time-critical deadlines.
