Financial Accountant

About the job

In this role you will be an important part of preparing the organization’s financial statements, including income statements, statements of owner’s equity, balance sheet, and cash flows. You will also ensure compliance with the company’s guidelines, policies, and accounting principles. This position is located in Stockholm and will report to the Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Book and manage all accounting transactions.
  • Gathering and monitoring financial data.
  • Participate in forecasting and budgeting.
  • Deliver financial statements in time.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely bank payments.
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Actively drive improvements in routines and processes.

Required education, experience, knowledge and skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, business administration, or relevant filed.
  • 3+ years of work experience as a financial accountant or similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish laws and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of finance and accounting best practises.
  • Experienced on large ERP systems. SAP knowledge desirable.
  • Fluency in English & Swedish language.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience from an auditor assistant position is advantageous.
  • Experience from the automotive industry is advantageous.
