This is a newly created role which offers a hands-on opportunity to lead all HMUK digital platform and take the organisation to the next level of customer experience and business growth. The Digital Project Manager will be a pivotal member of the team working across the organisation to deliver a best-in-class digital experience for our customers to drive conversion and increase customer retention.
The purpose of this role is to lead the future development of HMUK’s digital customer experience across key platforms, including the Virtual Experience Centre, national and retailer websites and e-commerce. The primary objectives of this role are to drive customer engagement to optimise customer experience and increase conversion as well as contributing to the retention of our customers.
You will be the bridge between the commercial and technical teams. To be successful in this role, you should be very comfortable with liaising between internal business teams and external technical agencies. You will also understand technical concepts (APIs, XML, SQL, basics of web development) and be able to apply abstract and critical thinking into translating complex business requirements into detailed technical briefs whilst carefully managing the risks and limitations
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of customer facing platforms, including:
- model content (including launch/reveal),
- accessories/parts content,
- Fleet & Business content, brand content,
- promotional content,
- ownership content
- all website functionality (including configurator, stock locator, retailer locator and data capture)
- Manage the project deployment of all new digital platforms (including Virtual Experience Centre, e-commerce, stock locators)
- Management of all SEO activity for customer facing sites
- Management of all web reporting including traffic, engagement, conversion (to lead/sale)
- KPI reporting for all HMUK digital platforms
- Leading conversion rate optimisation programme including A-B testing
- Tagging management and tracking (in conjunction with Brand Communications Manager)
About you:
- Experience with digital platform management
- Experience managing digital agencies / web developers
- Clear understanding of driving a project from scope to launch
- Experience managing executives
- Website management experience, ecommerce experience desirable
- Conversion rate optimisation experience
- Significant experience of web analytics and an understanding of HTML (desirable)
- Strong communication skills with an ability to build bridges between technical and non-technical staff, Ability to coach and train users where required
- Ability to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- Analytically minded with a good understanding of data
- Strong organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise
- Proven ability to solve problems and find innovative solutions to challenges
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel skill
