Role Summary:

As the Compliance Management Counsel(m/w/d), you will provide legal and compliance guidance across the organization, advising on applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards. You will support the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the Compliance Management System, identify and mitigate compliance risks, contribute to policy development and training initiatives, assist with investigations and whistleblowing processes, and help foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct throughout the organization.

We want you to:

  • Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations and industry standards, and provide guidance on regulatory developments and compliance risks in areas such as anti-bribery and corruption, competition law, supply chain compliance, anti-money laundering, sanctions and other applicable legal or regulatory requirements, excluding data protection.
  • Draft, review, implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures and control frameworks to ensure alignment with legal, regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Assess business activities from a compliance perspective and support the design and implementation of risk mitigation measures and internal controls
  • Advise management and business stakeholders on compliance, regulatory and ethical matters, providing clear, practical and business-oriented solutions.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness initiatives to strengthen employee understanding of legal and regulatory obligations and promote a strong culture of integrity.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of the Compliance Management System across HME, subsidiaries and affiliated entities, ensuring that minimum compliance standards are met.
  • Act as a key contact point for subsidiaries, providing guidance on compliance policies, procedures, controls and related questions.
  • Manage the whistleblowing platform and support or conduct compliance investigations when appointed, ensuring appropriate documentation, follow-up and remediation actions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, legal advisors and regulatory authorities to support effective compliance governance and program delivery.

About you:

  • University degree in Law or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, legal advisory, or a related specialization.
  • Strong expertise in regulatory compliance, legal advisory, and the interpretation and application of applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing compliance policies, conducting regulatory risk assessments, and establishing effective control frameworks that support business objectives.
  • Hands-on experience managing compliance investigations, whistleblowing processes, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Fluent in English; additional European language(s) are considered an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and digital tools, including AI-enabled technologies where appropriate.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide practical and business-oriented advice.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and countries.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently while fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct.
