Product Design Specialist (m/w/d)
Job Description

Role Summary:

As the Product Design Specialist (m/w/d), you bring the Genesis brand DNA and design philosophy of athletic elegance to life across lifestyle products. You drive the design process from concept to 3D visualization, combining trend insights, creativity, and feasibility while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, future-focused solutions.

We want you to:

  • Understand Genesis brand DNA and Design Criteria and transfer them onto products in different Brand Lifestyle categories
  • Research and create maps of competitors, delivering general trend input from different luxury lifestyle industries, including creating mood boards, fabric recommendations and color trends
  • Create compelling Brand Lifestyle design proposals that show a vision for the future of GMR and Genesis Brand Lifestyle under our design philosophy of athletic elegance
  • Translate ideas to virtual reality in 3D software and visualize them for reviews and presentations, using Keyshot
  • Develop design proposals from first sketch to 3D data incl. details like metal pieces, labelling and packaging, etc. with strong focus on Digital Design
  • Identify complex design problems such as the need, size, and cost of a product, anticipate production issues, develop alternatives, evaluate options, and implement solutions
  • Close collaboration and work with all related internal functions within Design, CFM and also R&D Center as well as externally with manufacturers to evaluate if the design concepts will fill needs
  • Evaluate product function, ergonomics and appearance to determine if a design is practical

About you:

  • Proven experience in the Brand Lifestyle / Luxury industry; fashion or accessories background is a plus
  • 3–5 years of experience in product design (agency or multi-category environment preferred)
  • Degree in Product or Industrial Design
  • Strong understanding of product & graphic design, development processes, materials, and manufacturing constraints
  • Skilled in translating concepts from 2D sketches to 3D visualization
  • Proficient in industry-standard tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Blender, CINEMA 4D, Keyshot, Rhinoceros)
  • Experience in merchandising product development is an advantage
  • Ability to interpret design briefs and deliver creative, feasible solutions
  • Structured, self-driven, and highly organized with a hands-on mindset
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills in English
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional and international environments; willingness to travel
    Additional language skills (German and/or Korean) are a plus
